Respro® have developed a range of CE Certified masks based on existing models within the Respro® range. This is in response to the demand for the use of Respro® masks in the Health and Safety at Work sector in outdoor environments.
Certification comes from a complete testing and certification program for PPE (Personal Proptective Equipment). These programs are governed by National and International standards which vary from country to country, but in the main, all ensure that the product is matched to the specification and use it is required for. This certification gives the assurance that the user will be be sufficiently protected from a known threat that has been identified in the workplace environment.
All Respro® Masks are built to the same technical standards as used for the CE Certified range, but are not promoted where masks complying with certification requirements for Health and Safety at Work are required. If a comparison were to be made, then they would be part of the FFP1-R class for reusable face masks but without the certification.
Trading standards authorities oversee the supply of masks into retail outlets worldwide. They have the authority to ensure that masks that are produced in line with PPE requirements, carry the CE mark, and do in fact conform to the relevant standards. This ensures the end user has the confidence in knowing that the product they have purchased is fit for their specific needs.
